Q: How long will it take for my web site to be completed?
The actual time frame for web site completion varies depending on our work load. We ask that you allow up to 30 days for completion, however the actual time may be as little as one week.
Q: What if I need to make changes to my web site after it is completed?
We are happy to make minor occasional updates and modifications free of charge within 24 business hours. Slightly complex modifications will be placed into our production query and may or may not incur a programming charge. You would of course be notified in advance if any charges will apply. Complex modifications will be treated as optional services and standard pricing will apply. Please keep in mind that we have a proprietary production process which is substantially different than industry standard. Changes which may seem complex might in actuality be very minor and vice versa. Feel free to contact us with any questions.
Q: Are your web sites of poor quality?
No. There are many different aspects of web design and we have researched virtually all of them, from css to the psychology of Internet users. Web sites created by Astions are designed to:
Generally speaking, you get what you pay for. This rule does not apply to web site design. Although there are many reputable web site design firms more than willing to charge you thousands of dollars for a simple web site, keep in mind that the person who actually builds it might be an inexperienced college intern working for little or no wages. On the other hand, we have policies and procedures in place which ensure that all web sites are built to the same standards. With Astions, your web site not only looks good, but it's beautiful under the hood as well.
Q: Do you use templates?
No, but we don't reinvent the wheel every time we build a web site either. Your web site is custom built from the ground up. We do use a somewhat modularized build process for the foundation, which significantly increases our efficiency, but other than that, your web site will be unique.
Q: What is the value of the free web sites?
Depending on who you ask, $1,000 to $5,000. If you were to seek out a firm to build a web site of comparable quality, you would be looking at a starting price of around $3,500. It doesn't stop there though. Your web site is built in such a way that virtually any aspect of it can be modified by simply editing one file. This includes such things as colors, text, pictures and the actual layout itself. This is a significant feature which adds quite a bit of value to your web site because it decreases maintenance expenses and makes your web site incredibly scalable.
Q: What if I don't like the web site you build for me?
We build your web site based on information provided on the order form and from information gathered from you during telephone conversations. We expect that on completion of your web site, there may be some changes here and there that you may require or desire and we are more than happy to accommodate this. If however after repeated revisions you are still not satisfied, we would encourage you to ask yourself whether or not your customers or web site visitors would like it and maybe even show it to a few for input. Truth be told, an impressive web site is one that is organized, loads fast and accomplishes it's purpose, and your preferences may differ from those of your customers. With that said, understand that we will work with you as much as reasonably possible, but if it gets to the point where we need to start billing you for changes, it will be your decision as to whether you want to accept the web site, pay for the revisions or sever our business relationship.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
We currently accept personal and company checks, money orders, cashiers checks and credit cards via paypal.
